Dr. Kalpana K. Jatla is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She attended the University of North Carolina (B.S.) and Wake Forest University School of Medicine (M.D) before finishing her ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and her Glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Jatla has a keen interest in glaucoma. Her formal glaucoma training includes filtering, shunt, and other corrective procedures. She enjoys seeing adults as well as children. She treats dry eyes, evaluates for diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She performs cataract surgery as well as lid surgery. She offers comprehensive eye exams for children focusing on visual development, treatment of amblyopia and other common eye disorders for children.

After being in private practice in New Jersey, Dr. Jatla is proud of starting Clarity Eye Center in Round Rock, Texas in 2008 and the Georgetown location in 2012. She has authored numerous scientific and clinical articles, enjoys traveling and outdoor activities, and is married to pediatrician Dr. Murali Jatla and is a mother of three wonderful children.

Our practice accepts new patients and many insurance plans including Scott & White, Medicare and Medicaid.


Dr. Tam (Tommy) Q. Dang  is a board certified ophthalmologist who is also certified in PRK & LASIK on the VISX & Intralase platforms as well as VISIAN ICL lens implantation. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He graduated from Rice University (B.A.) and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (M.D.).

While serving in the United States Army he completed his residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium splitting time between Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center. He placed in a national competition for senior residents in his class and received a certificate of excellence in regards to cataract surgery from the American Board of Eye Surgeons/ American College of Eye Surgeons. After residency, he was stationed at Ft. Bliss, where he served as both the Chief of Ophthalmology as well as the Chief of the Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. He has performed over 1000 surgical procedures and would love a chance to help you with your visual needs.

After having completed his tour of duty, Dr. Dang joined the Clarity Eye Center Team in the summer of 2015. His span of clinical and surgical practice is inclusive of pediatric patients in addition to refractive surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology. He enjoys being a foodie, bboy, outdoor activities, traveling, and is an avid basketball and football fan. He is married and the father of two beautiful girls and two Texan huskies.
